Ractive air filter w/heat shield.....

is it any good compared to the k&n with heat shield? looks like it also wouldn't get as much flow as a normal filter.

does that diagram say intake air intercooled?????
maybe it flows better, maybe worst, but it might not filter as well.

skarteez is an unknown quantity at this point
flow is pretty much equal (determined by filter) i think, maybe a lil less since the filter is of lower quality. the smaller opening will help with the "oomph" factor (low end torque) because of the smaller opening (more vacuum pressure, faster air, more air velocity=more torque)

id say a good majority of the members on this site would tell you to go with K&N over a Toucan product any day. IMO, ractive is just another APC.

^speaks for me.

if your just looking for an air filter, i'd look into K&N or apexi universal power filter.

their was a link posted on this site where someone tested the hks, apexi, k&n, and some other filters to see which had the best filter that prevented dirty **** going thru the filter.

yeah i know ractive blows but i was refering more to the heat shield part. I just wasn't sure if it actually keeps hot air out a little bit better. Any other brands make filters with heat shields that can be applied to any intake?

It all depends on what the actual heat shield is made out of..
