Tanabe SRM question

Hi, I have Lx Coupe and was wondering why the extension pipe is needed for Tanabe SRM. Is it possible to install it without the extension pipe?

No it is not, the adaptor is necessary because there are certain differences between the EX and the LX, but I forgot what they are. Anyway, the install is straightforward with it.

so there are two options...

1) Lx header + extension + Tanabe SRM
2) Ex Header + Tanabe SRM

Which one is better? Don't I lose the CAT by doing both anyway? (I have Kamakaze Header by the way)

no the extension does not "delete" the cat.. so in the LX case you don't..

Also, if you get the EX "shorty" header than you don't lose the cat either.

Then why did Tanabe made SRM for Lx/Dx Coupe including the extension with the package?

Tanabe does sell it specifically for EX and LX setups. The LX one does come with the adaptor.
