Don't like either one.
Both exhausts are loud as hell compare to all other aftermarket catback for si.
I personally hate look of Tanabe srm too.

My recommandation, Greddy Evo2, Greddy SP2. Full Stainless.

why don't u go check out ephatch.com a Si site. I think they have more things to said about exhaust system then we do.

I say skunk2. I just saw a tanabe exhaust on a 98 civic and the muffler looks huge and kinda gay. Looks like one of those ebay mufflers. But it is whatever you like.

i have the tanabe and dont like it, its to loud and to big. i havent really seen/heard the skunk 2 so i dont know about that one. like civicvtec1ps said, look into GReddy exhausts, thats what i wish i got...

the tanabe seems to huge of a canister IMO. it does look like those 4" tip n style mufflers off eBay..
the skunk2 sounds real nice on a civic coupe but sound/performance differs compared to the little d17. i would refer the skunk2 catback for the civic coupe as a kitty back because its not HELLA loud, but its decent loud. sounds real nice. theirs a exhaust clip of the skunk2 in the exhaust thread of videos. should check it out..

I had a HKS on my Si and loved it. Everyone always told me it sounded good. It is kinda loud though and the muffler is large but I didnt care. But out of those 2 go SKunk.
