Cold Air Intake questions
Cold Air Intake questions
I am looking at possibly getting a cold air intake kit.
Do you guys have any suggestions of what type of kit will give me the best performance.
I have 2004 civic coupe.
Is it true that you can get a 15HP increase with one of these kits?

hmm.
Get an Injen Cold Air Intake. That's what I have, and at 80+ mph, it sounds like you have a turbo.. or at least on my car it does
I would reccomend Injen over AEM, don't ask why, just go along with it. I'm sure injencivic (member on this site) would agree.

My friend had AEM and his blew, it was overall a bad decision. Then he got a turbo
But with my intake and exhaust I could beat him with his I/H/E, pulley's, cam gear, pretty much he had everything on his car AEM makes. I blew him out of the water from a stop probably 3-4 cars.. and he had an EX.. both were automatic.

Save your money. Buy an ebay one that is carb legal like from the company CP. I don't personally think spending 2 or more hun on an intake is worth 5 to 8 HP.
But, if you get a major name brand get the AEM, Injen, Iceman, or K&N

So, any links to the kinds that would fit my Civic EX 2002 Auto would be greatly appreciated!

Just type in 2001 civic intake. There are generic short rams for $30 shipped. Just understand you're getting it for sound and maybe a performance decrease. Stock feels more responsive.

just find any intake (not sure that'll work though, b/c our intakes are fitted with an o2 sensor so...that might make the ecu go crazy, stupid obdII!) get a good filter theres 2 companies id suggest K&N and..... =)
