since it is your first post I won't flame about not searching, but the lx's cat is in the header there for making a longer mid pipe. U would have to get a custom down pipe from the header to the mid-pipe. If you do a search you will find out everything you need to know.

the greddy evo exhausts are BIG and LOUD... they aren't quiet at all... you can hear them like 2 blocks down the street. They aren't bad sounding, but LOUD, so i dont know where you got the feeling it was quiet from. get the apexi WS or RSR if u want a quiet exhuaust, i have the apexi WS, and it gets louder after a while, but its definately not loud as the other exhausts. Just keep your stock exhaust. And the exhaust for the EX and LX follow a different line, so they won't match up! im so smart, i think...

They don't follow different lines at all, look at the diagram of the two exhausts

and thats exactly what I said, I took you to mean the piping follows a different line under the car, which it doesn't

YES IT IS! atleast i know the greddy evo1 is! and i dont think the evo2 is a lot quieter if it IS quiet! The greddy is so loud. It's not CRAZY loud, but its loud. I can hear it going two blocks out of my neighborhood and onto the highway.. and i can hear which way it turns onto the highway! It's not the LOUDEST exhaust... but its definately loud... not what i think familyguy is looking for. and it looks really big. I don't think family guy wants taht either.. but i dont know where family guy got the impression that its "so quiet"... because its not so quiet. its loud inside the car, and outside the car

I had a magnaflow muffler put on it was street series, It was quiet, you could hold higher revs and that will b louder, but overall it was pretty quet, my stereo would drownd it out at normal volumes, if you want a quiet muffler but a little noise, i think a magnaflow street series would work well.. http://magnaflow.com/02product/mirro...tseriespg4.htm << thats the one I had 4" body, only because it was on ebay. i'd go for 6" body w/ a 4" tip and 4" tip length.. for your family ride..

other parts and products.. exhaust clips.. listen to the two Greddy Evo 2 clips. fairly loud.. and like mine, with no cat.. really loud. you can use the Evo2 on an LX, just have to switch out a lot of stuff, like i did..

WTF are you talking about. I've had the Greddy Evo since it has came out, and compared to other exhausts it's quiet. On the inside it gets loud in higher RPMs, but the loud Evo's are becuase ppl have removed resonators or something of that nature. If you hook the Greddy Evo up like it's supposed to be hooked up, then it's actually quieter than other exhausts.

The Evo probably sounds louder on the inside than it does on the outside, but as for outside sound...it's quiet. On the inside it can get a little loud, but I can still listen to my music at normal volumes (aka I can still hear my cell phone ring).

no, the evo is loud! maybe the evo2 got made quieter. but it's definately not a quiet exhaust. A quiet exhaust is like the srs or apexi WS, something like that. I dont know what exhausts ur comparing it to, okay... compared to the N1 its not l oud, but compared to the rsr or apexi WS, it is SOOOOOO LOUD. The evo is made more as a turbo catback, so that along tells you its going to be loud with its three inch piping and big muffler and what not, especially if u dont have a turbo. isn't it like the most powerful street legal exhaust system! so how is it quiet! "The Evo probably sounds louder on the inside than it does on the outside, but as for outside sound...it's quiet. On the inside it can get a little loud, " SEE, how can u say its quiet, when u say it gets loud on the inside and stuff! QUiet is a stock exhaust... I didn't say it was loud compared to turbo exhausts.... but its LOUD for just a car trying down the street. I don't think he wants his family in a car where u can hear the exhaust pretty good on the inside of the car, and have a huge muffler on the back of his car. I think the evo is louder at low rpms... for instance, you can hear a manual rev and let their clutch out very clearly. But, i don't think the evo is a good exhaust for a family car! who else agrees with me! U should just get a t ype S exhaust or somethign! something that REALLY is quiet!

i agree, Apexi makes great exhausts, my friend has one on his rsx-s and his injen intake is louder than the exhaust, it sounds almost stock.

go listen to the exhaust clips, the evo 2 isn't loud, regardless of how loud you think the evo 1 was, and also how do you figure its going to make his car slower

yes the evo doesn't sound that loud in the clips, but thats not in person, hell,t he n1 doesn't even sound loud in the exhaust clips... go figure... and its gonig to make his car slower cuz of the 3 inch or whatever piping and and stuff, you don't need that with our sorry engine, acutlaly you don't need anything more then stock if u dont have any serious mods! anyways, i dont think anyone with a "family car" wants a greddy evo exhaust...

plus technically you can't actually tell how loud the exhausts are, cuz they are recorded by different peoples with different recording devices. so they could trick u... im not saying they are, im just saying.. they could........

honestly i want good performance but i cant sacrifice the sound. i have kids and need it to be quiet. i heard that the evo2 is one of the quietest exhaust out there but obviously there are differences in opinions. i guessill just go with the majority

get the apexi WS or rsr, they don't have 3 inch piping or whatever, like the greddy. you won't get any performance with the greddy, cuz of the big piping, its made for turbos, the rsr or WS will suit ur car better, cuz it will give u more low-mid range power, while the greddy will take away low-mid, and give u high end power.. and with kids in the car, i don't think u would want to drive in the high end that much... the WS or rsr, with the small piping, w ill give u more performance, and keep it quiet. U will hardly even hear those exhausts on the inside of ur car, whereas the greddy maybe louder on the inside then it is on the outside.... The greddy will give awesome performance for say a WRX or something, but not our civics. Also, the greddy tip is very big.. so its not goin to look that well if u don't have a rear lip or kit!

thanx wogz ill check em out. i do like to be int he upper rpm's but only when the kids are gone. already i have the car dumped on progress springs with 18" alt's, rear strut bar, gunmetal headlights, a blue carbon fiber hood jdm grille with just a intake right now.its a 4dr lx so its nothing to write about but in corners its a very fun car to drive. my goal is to have a front and rear lip as soon as i can find one i like that isnt too big of course. im not into drawing a bunch attention to myself or my car but i have a 01 s10 too that is the wings west truck check it out here if you want http://www.wingswest.com/products_de...page=1&id=1893 so as you can see im not into anything too eye catching just a lil sporty
