you can still turbo an auto. throw a k20a in there. It is better with a manual cause you can get new cluthes, flywheels, etc... Get a intake, exhaust, internals, alot of stuff.

well your like most of us. but anyway, most things you will benefit from you will need some money. Just getting a intake or exhaust wont do but 1-5HP. Even people with a manual will tell you that. our cars, every $100 gives you 1HP. WRX, every $15 gives you 1HP.

i have an auto, and only put in a hks rear section on there. I really dont think engine mods will be worth it to an auto vic. Thats why I just focused on everything else besides that . However, if you want speed sooooo badly, I suggest saving up all the money, and invest in a turbo. IMO, thats the only mod thats really worth the money .

just get nitrous if u want to race, thats the only thing u can really do, cuz just bolt ons won't do anything, and the tranny won't beable to handle a turbo.

500 dollars for an exhaust and you're going to get 5whp? doubt it, but maybe... 250 for my V2 and 2.5whp is about right... 300 for headers and 3whp? maybe... so average intake header and exhaust might cost 800 bux and give 8whp? possibly... but some applications might get 3whp some might get 10...

However, 3k for a turbo kit and DEFINITELY more than 30whp... $500 for NOS, just a tad bit more than 5whp... haha...

ehhhh ? 5 whp from N2O? You obviously never been in a juiced civic. N2O is deffinetly the best bang for the buck 14 hp per $100 give or take a few... Granted you have to fill the bottle regularly

Is there an ECU or something similar that can push-button change? Drive normally on the way to the track then hit a button and have the different shift points for the 1/4 set?

guess you didn't read the sarcasm in there... of course NOS is more than 5whp, just like a turbo is way more then 30whp... that was my point... at 1whp per 100 dollars NOS should give 5whp@500 dollars... obviously it's way more, which brings me to my point, some things are WAY over the $100 per 1whp and some are under...

Yes, that dollar to horsepower ratio was clearly missed. But anyway, you are better off getting a different car if you want speed.

yea, and ur tranny is going to go out in due time, even with a cooler and tq, its the internals that get messed up... Yea u can get a turbo and run 4psi, but whats the point? i can see if ur rich, but if u get turbo, then u want to beable to boost and actually beat peoples. its a waste to buy a turbo and run like 4-5 psi and itll go eventually, when u can just have a manual and run 8-9 and not worry about the tranny at all.

and u just got a turbo, so its not like u've been turbod for a long time, u used to have nitrous didn't u? Of course ur not just going to go out and blow up ur tranny right when u boost, it takes time.. and i don't think the person who posted this topic wants to worry about the "chance" of their tranny blowing and stuff. WEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

thats what i was thinking but in regards to my auto. if i hear a lot of manual civics complaining then i figured it just wouldnt be worth it for a civic.

did a lot of people know this about the 7th gen civics that they are slow because it doesnt make sense why a lot people bought a civic and want to add mods to it when they know that it is slow? see i was given a civic for christmas and well i never knew much about them, plus i think they can look really nice once fixed up but never knew much about the engine, just the vtec that i would hear people brag about, but now i hear something about that we dont even have the right vtec but i think that i will just go for show. i just hate when people see my car fixed up and automatically assume that im a racer or something or because i have exhaust means that i wanna race, but thats another thread already.

just wandering, is there anything we can do to fix that lag in acceleration that i face everyday or when your driving and hit you hit the gas a little bit more and takes like 5sec for it to really go anywhere?
