Fidanza lightened flywheel
Hey I was thinking of getting a fidanza flywheel but I just wanted to see if anybody has a lightened flywheel and if they have had any problems. I saw on a different website that with their clutch it makes weird noises and I don't really want that so let me know Thanks

I LOVE IT, no noises here, it revs up FAST, just remember to get a clutch kit too, cause you are taking off the stock pressure plate and clutch to get at the flywheel... might as well upgrade while your at it...

oh, and aside from revving up fast.. it also slows down fast too, altho that shouldnt be an issue when you coast to stops, or get used to rev matching
its very streetable contrary to popular belief, 7lbs might be really light for a v8... but for a SOHC 1.7L, its right on target

engine braking? like letting the car slow down? it is just fine, altho you have to give it more gas to keep the revs up before you release the clutch, once the clutch is mated with the flywheel, the tranny will be able to maintain the momentum, the car is light enuff so that it wouldnt matter

I was considering the same and I'm gonna make the purchasing decision here this monday, but as far as all the info I've read and revving up faster, reduced weight easier on crnk and etc. as far as for those that have one, wouldn't you r car rev up to high when you are at like 90mph? mine already goes to about 4500 rpms and I thought of that question with less weight to hold it back would if fly away like that making a higher RPMs at a higher speed, or would it just rev lower because of the less restriction on the crank??? oh, and I'm try ti get teh 191161 Fidanza model @ 6lbs ~Stevo

if anything, its easier to pick up speed it doenst hold speed, so it revs up fast, but also slows down fast too altho its still manageable as far as revving changes at speeds, it doesnt change, cause gearing is set, the flywheel still turns at x amount for y mph

hmm... i think my act clutch kit was a little heavier than that...
the aftermarket springs on the disk are a lot stronger than the stock ones.. so you will not bog down as much when you are trying to corner hard

my friend, sponsor, is recommending me on the same setup, fidanza flywheel with exedy clutch

Got it on nad I love it!(exedy organic disc and heavier pressure plate, 6lbs Fidanza flywheel) I don't feel the eratic idle everyone talks about and etc, it hasn't stahled out on me and I still pull through all gears just better response and pic-up, I love it, just perfect! The pedal does need to be pushed to the floor and engages the clutch like two inches off th floor and can surprise ya, but other than that stiffer pedal its great!! GO GET IT BOYS AND GIRLS!
