get an RSR exhaust... i read a ton of good stuff about it and the main thing is that its not too loud. i hate that sound most catbacks make that why i still have stock exhaust but if i were to get an aftermarket i would ONLY go with RSR because the noise is down to a minimum.

I was just gonna ask about that! Since the ports will make any catback louder, I'm trying to get a quiet one to start. Is it easy to install a catback exhaust?

The RS injectors fit in our cars with some modifications to the fuel rail, or you can pay a bit more for the RSX injectors, I hear that they will fit right in.

Okay. Can I get some more info about the Apexi? Pics? If the intake made such a big difference, so will exhaust I bet.

So the base rsx injectors will work? Is it an easy swap? And then will I be running too rich? That could probably be corrected with the vafc though.

What Kind Of Buzzing Are You Hearing? From Where?
If You Heard Something Fall From The Bay It Could Be A Socket That Fell Inside Your Bumper When We Were Working On It.

Yeah I'm not too worried about what fell. The sound is like two metal things vibrating on each other. I can only hear it when the car shifts gears for a second.

Hey do you think it's the three bolts in the car that we forgot to put back? You said they were to hold something from shaking underneath.

OH YEAH! I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THOSE 3 BOLTS.
do you have a jack? make sure its a good jack not the ones that come with the car.
right under the intake manifold 3 holes i completely forgot about those all you need is a ratchet a 10mm socket and a small extension. just bolt back on and your set.
i dont think thats what causing the buzzing in the trans though but let me know

Okay. I don't have any good jack, but maybe I can reach from on top? I don't think that's the problem though. I don't know if it's from the trans, just somewhere under the engine bay. When it shifts the car vibrates, and that's why it makes the noise I think. Hmmm maybe it will just go away

theres a small possibility that the intake mani vibrates on gear shifts. im sure a local shop will not charge over 10-20 dollars to bolt them up or if you can find someone that will let you borrow a good jack it would be better

About those RSX injectors:

Opto has one now, but I don't think he installed it yet, but looks like it will fit.

Okay I'm getting pissed at my car now. When I rev and hold it around 2k rpms, it vibrates constantly. I have no idea where it's coming from.

Another problem. I went to start it after spending maybe 10 mins at the store, and it just cranked. After maybe 12 cranks, I turned it off. Went to start again and when it finally turned over after almost stalling. Any ideas what's wrong? Oh and it's been doing this every so often before the head install, too. I just bought an optima yellow battery as well with more cca than stock.

Something preventing fuel from getting in the cylinders I guess.

Plugged injectors - injector cleaner.
Crimped/dammaged fuel line - inspect line for dammage.
Clogged fuel pump / fuel filter - inspect filter.
Timimg slipped - check for top dead center when cam gear is aligned at 0 Deg Advance/Retard.
Bad Gas - I always use 93 Octane here in Texas, better fuel mileage makes up for the higher price, and better performance, better for combustion.

Oh, by the way, I have that AEM cam gear to install too, is there anyway I can modify/trim the cover so Ican still use it. I haven't really looked at this yet, and my car is not with me right now, but is their a seperate cover for just the cam gear that I can leave off, exposing the cam.

Can you give me some more info on where to look? I'm gonna go and check, but I don't know what to do. Thanks. I'm thinking it's fuel related and not the battery. Voltage reads 12.4 before I crank it. But sometimes it starts up just fine. Why am I having so many stupid problems.

You could try and shave off the backs of the 3 adjusting bolts so they don't stick out. There's also a plastic piece that sits directly behind the cam gear. I don't know if it can be removed, and whether it's important for something.

Gearbox: I will get you pics of my Apexi World Sport in 30 mins i just used my Mr. Clean auto dry today. im letting it dry first. I had my car on jack stands for 2 weeks because my car would not start. it was my timing. yours might be a bad alternatorif you turn your key into the on postiton can you hear fuel running the in injectors? you might have to have a friend crank it to the on position as you listen.

Well I can hear a hum or something when it on, so I'm guessing there's fuel running in. I even leave it on for a few secs to let pressure build up before starting. How is alternator related to starting?

Breather hose going to the intake doesn't have a clamp yet. I'm going out to get one, but I don't think it's that.

Well it's been starting fine so far. Breather is on tight and I found a loose hose going to the TB that I pushed in. Timing was set fine and it drives good. I'm gonna try and fix the hood rattle by twisting those black rubber things, but the other noise I don't know.

Thanks for taking pics. So is the exhaust quiet like stock? Slightly louder? And how much did you pay? I'm wanting a quiet catback with good gain. RSR seems good, but maybe the apexi is another option. Or maybe I should stick with the stock muffler for now. My rear section is causing weird stuff.

Thanks. Do you know if it will fit a sedan?

Maybe I'll just try to find a stock sedan muffler for now. I just don't have the cash for a catback now. Is there any way to make the stock muffler look better, like bending the tip so it's straight and putting a tip on it?

Oh and I have an automatic if you're wondering. Header and gasket are port-matched to the exhaust ports on the head.

How much did it cost to get the header port-matched?

Can't access video, but thanks for the pics.

The header and gasket need to be port-matched. It was free since I did the work, but I had to spend $40 on a dremel. Took a while to do.
