K&N intake system good or bad?
Most of the threads here talk about AEM or Injen cai's. What about K&N brand. They have one called the typhoon and its cheaper than the others at about $138. Is this any good ... does brand matter?

you tell us. does brand matter? the "best" intake, AEM produces about 5HP, plus or minus. is 5HP even noticeable? you tell us.
i have an AEM CAI on my EX5-spd. its nominally suggestive of speed. nomenclature.

I don't think K&N makes an intake for the 2K1's yet.
But when and if they do, I would spend my money on one....
I already have an AEM Short Ram, and it is very noticeable.
If you are worried about it, then just go with an injen or an AEM,
neither one will let you down.

Its not out for the 2k1's yet .. but it won't be long before it is .. I was just looking for some thoughts ... Figured it might be worth it to wait until they do make it.

I am also waiting for the K&N. The K&N will be made out of some sort of plastic which will help keep the incoming air just a little bit cooler. Kind of like the ICEMAN intakes. I just don't want to spend all the money on the AEM or Injen cause I am a tight spender. I do think the chrome and painted ones look better though.
<< i saw a pic of one in an ad specifically for 2001 civics (EX i think, or maybe all civics) in that calendar in the newest turbo magazine. >>
ya I saw it in the 2002 calender of the Dec 2001 issue of sport compact car
