it costs about $650 to put a tanabe on an LX (need that extension pipe). i would personally say wait on the intake, and get EX headers and a good EX exhaust (like the tanabe). gains will be much better since you'll be eliminating the cat (unless you get the DC sports header).
Get the AEM V2 intake, Kamikaze or OBX header (they are made exactly the same), and the Thermal R&D catback. Thats what I have on my DX which is the same motor as you, and you get some pretty good gains. It sounds cool too.
That makes for one open flowing exhaust.

, you wouldn't lose power from getting bigger than 2 1/4" piping, if you did then something is wrong. I have 2 1/2 and havent lost power. Not bashing on you, just want to see a dyno or some sort of proof saying you lost power. Last edited by n20hcvc; Mar 10, 2004 at 10:52 AM.

i have aem cai, kamikazee header, megan racing racing downpipe and high flow cat (is actually just a resinator), and magnaflow cat back. sweet sound but yeah the cel came on two days after install, oh well though, its just becomes part of the dash, i dont even notice it any more. contemplating on what to do next. any suggest? oh but limited funds so no turbos for me.

the only way to bypass it is to use an O2 sim.. too bad im no longer selling them...

Rep Power: 0 I have the 02 sim from WannaBfast on mine with no cat and it works perfectly, thanks a lot. You can have no cat but unless you get the 02 sim you will get the CEL. Go to this website, they have them for sale http://casperselectronics.com. Hope this helps!
