I think it depends on the sensitivity of the alarms but my Thermal exhaust sets off car alarms....

Its not cool nor funny.... some pr!ck has an old accord with one of those really loud exhuasts on my street and when he goes by my car it starts going off..... my alarm isnt that sensitive either.

Now if a system sets off car alarms thats cool.... but exhuast is just gay.

if a muffler is setting off alarms the shock sensors are too sensitive.

my TCS will do it when i get my low tones, if i let off the gas and do not put the clutch in I will usually set off alarms. The alarms i hate are the supper sentive ones that somehow sense your body walking by them or staring into the window and give off thier warning chirps.

oh i have to tell a story! My friend and I were cruisin town the main stretch in town the other night, and we see this really nice looking Toyota Paseo (i think thats it). I know thats a crappy car, but written on the windshield was "7,999 TURBO". So we checked it out. Molded body kit, custom paint job (blue) and complete blue/white custom interior. It kicked ***. The really funny part was that the alarm went off if ANYONE got within 3 feet of the thing. Im not joking. It honestly had frikkin lasers or something sensing it, because you could stand there and wave your arm to make it go off. Thats what I want.
