I just got my replacement today, and this one has the rubber heatshield part, but is still missing the cleaning kit. I called K&N and they said they'll send one out, but did you guys have one with your intake? Also, the inside of my intake is pretty dusty, was yours sealed up or on the bottom of the box with the bubble padding (or whatever it is?). Thanks

Yeah my kit came with the cleaning ("Recharge") kit as well, and I've used it already - it helped a little bit.

It doesn't require a cleaning for 10K miles, but it was really dirrty so I cleaned it anyways.

yeah mine came with one. the instructions said its supposed to be cleaned every year? i got mine feb '03 so i guess i have to clean it up this comming feb.
