Turbulators, anyone?

Hey everyone, got a few questions about this supposedly so good exhaust piece:

Does it do anything close to the specs I see in the catalogs?

Anyone got one/had one? Thoughts and opinions, please.

I'm also considering a K&N Typhoon intake and at some point an aftermarket exhaust...where if at all does this thing fit in that picture? I'm trying to improve the car's pickup and horsepower but also keep the MPG's I'm getting, or keep them relatively close.

Any help much appreciated.

Mike

While I'd love to agree, apparently there's research to back this thing up and I saw a post on some Nissan board that a guy put one his Altima and got almost a 5MPG boost. Just curious if any Honda people have had similar experience.

i can tell you that there's been research that the butt dyno gives stickers 5+ whp. Does that make it true?

tips dont do squat except look shiny (for a time). Why? everything else is the same. piping, cat, resonator, muffler, all of it.

I agree with cambo.. and most of the people on this forum might too. tips are just like wings and body kits, mainly looks. if you like that kinda tip and want HP gains, you should look into RS-R exhaust system. its very sleek low-key.

BTW that tip has a valve control, kinda remines me of those semi-trucks with the tea-kettle flip up thingy everytime it puffs out fumes..
sorry..lol I'm jus bored

THe turbolator will do nothing for your car. Except maybe slow you down. If that flap stays closed for any reason, exhaust gets backed up and you are going nowhere fast.

What he means to say is smarten up, that company is just trying to take money from people who dont know much or anything about performance, by selling something with turbo in the
name makes people like you think that it is a good performance product when TIPs do absolutely nothing

I hope no one smart enough to buy a HONDA would be stupid enough to buy a TURBOLATOR

I saw something like this in the book "Civic Duty ." They said the valve thing was to control backpressure and it was supposed to give you more overall power. I dunno.

btw if anyone is thinking about reading that book, it only covers up through 2000 Civics.
