Those with Revo SS, Greys and Capyoda's upgrade kit
I've installed everything including Grey's upgraded pins and washers, and Capyoda's bushings.
Just wondering how much side to side play everyone has while in gear? Just move your shifter left to right how much you got? Mine seems a little sloppy, but I can't remember what it was like stock....
Can anyone help me out?

have Cap Yoda's washers, just received Greys kit, need to get the Revo SS installed. I noticed a difference with just Cap Yoda's kit, it was a little but better, not as much play at all. But I always play with it in neutral, the shifter I mean. <-- had to clear that up...

I have the Revo SS + Grey's kit. When in neutral, i have like a few millimeters of play. When I'm in gear, I have a little bit more, but I don't really care... I mean, does play in the shifter decrease the performance any? I would have boughten CAP's Bushings kit, but I still don't know what they are, or where they go... Do they replace the rubber busings under where you install the bolts to attach the shifter to the body of the car? Pix of it installed anybody?
The whole design of the Honda cable shifter results in a bit of play.
I have the whole set myself and I have a bit of play too.
If you really wanted to remove the illusion of play you could fabricate a top gate that would restrict side to side movement.
Sad thing is now I don't even notice the shifts being shorter.. I have adapted..... /sigh

Question about Revo SS> Is the shifter assemble completely different or is just the actual shift lever shorter?

Some of that side-to-side play that you're talking about is because of the design of the shifter assembly. If I think of a design that will cure this, then I will sell it as part of my SS Upgrade Kit. There should be no up and down play when in gear though.
clownprince...both. It both has shorter side to side, and shorter front to back, and the stick is shorter. What more could you ask for
. And for the side-to-side play, some guy just made a thread about 2 days ago about it. You have to file down a rubber stop. Search.

^^^ yes u are correct. someone just made a topic about it. but ya, capyoda and grey's kits are the **** for real! they made the revo so much better. it feels solid like my friends jetta shifter. not cinchy and cheesy like most jap car shifters.

I finally got the complete combo and yes, there is a difference in play. Especially if you are one of those people who slam in your gears. It makes it nice and tight when speed shifting, along with the Revo SS. I am very satisfied with the upgrades to the Revo SS.

your shifts from gear to gear will be much cleaner, and feel alot better with those two kits added to the revo short shifter. If you do the other DIY to fix the side to side play while in gear, you will have a very solid shifter assembly.
Like I said if your going thru all the trouble...do it as right as you can. Trimming the plastic from the spring stop area got rid of 98%of the side slop and kinda helps you forget that your shifting thru a big hunka plastic...but it works and untill some one machines a nice billet gate...oh well.

Also, I think you can get the Revo SS a lil cheaper. I bought mine from Carsoption. I believe he used to be a vendor, but i'm not sure if he still is. I paid 89 shipped. Good deal.
Don't quote me on this, but i have heard B&M has recently came out with a short shifter for the 7thgen. If this is true, then I would bet money their shifter feels a lot stronger, and with Capyoda's kit i'm sure the kit would be like a rock. I've heard nothing but good things from B&M. I remember putting a B&M short shifter in a celica and it made a huge difference and it was strong as hell.

argh. lol.
but its also running at like ~$180
although I'm sure it wont have any of the problems the adapters, the revo, and anything else might have.. looks like quality stuff. I would get it, except for the price. cuz essentially its just like a revo + bushing. just better craftsmanship.
its a value thing. if its worth it to you, I would wait for it to come out.. (or is it already being distributed?)
or just go ahead and save $80 bucks on something that does the same thing for cheaper price.
Don't get me wrong, I have the REVO SS with your kit Capyoda. I'm just saying, I heard B&M is coming out with a SS. If it's $180 bux I will just keep my REVO SS, becuase that's a steep price.
But then again there is only a couple other things that my hand spends that much time around...LOL.
CAPYODA + GARY + REVO SS = GOOD BUY AND WELL WORTH YOUR TIME.

hmm? u must have read my thread wrong.
cuz I was praising the B&M SS kit, it is coming out for a fact, but the prices I saw for it so far is rather expensive.
for those with money though, they should consider that...
course, if we all had money, why are we driving civics.
