its going to have to be custom.

Why not just swap in a k series? its more potent that the B, weighs less than the B, will pass any engine swap laws concerning age, and its just kick ***.

In most states,
older engine into newer car = illegal
newer engine into older car = legal

I am doing a B-series swap for someone and will release the mounts some time after that. The H22 won't fit, so we won' do mounts for that one.

^ Uuuummmmm...... How about calm down. K series has more potential than a b series motor. Dont mouth off. Some people around here will smack you with a d series. Look in hissig for the website.

That's what everyone says, but that's not true. Believe me.

Someone else asked how is the swap comong? I am waiting for Honda to release the car we will be installing the engine into. Then we will start the project. It won't be finished until some time between November and January. The mount kit will come some time after that.

It is a promotional car that Honda owns. Before it can take on it's new life as a race car Honda has to release it.

Stiffer mounts for 01 up Civics are in line after stiffer mounts for Preludes and Accords with H22As. Unfortunatly, no time soon.

Sorry for all the questions, Brian.. Engine swapping has caught my attention in the last couple of months..

But what year model is it going to be? 2001 for it to be legal?

Yeah, and legal is a relative concept. If you are in an area where the emissions are not checked, and the motor you are using is not stolen, you should not have any problems when using an older motor.

That is, other than a diffecult time wiring it.

Please dont say the H22 cant fit. It is just not an easy swap. If we fit an F23 into a CRX then turbo'd it and kept the AC, then i know an H22 will fit into the civic. Just some (extreme) modification required.

BTW, i need stiffer motor mounts, with my D17 creeping up on 260 whp, i think my motor mounts might go sometime soon. Please keep me updated on the stiffer mounts whenever you guys decide to release them.

Heh, H22 and no firewall wouldn't be bad. But I'd still opt for the K20 I believe.

He still had a firewall. Just no fenderwells, and we moved the radiator under the core support.

So with the B-series mounts coming out, does this mean we'll be able to swap in a B18C5?

even with the ability of swapping in a b18c5, i still wouldnt do it. i'd still take the k20a. Even though it might be cheaper, the k series is showing amazing numbers...and it can only get better!

Don't compare the CRX engine bay with the 7thgen Civic's. They just are not shaped the same.

The H series has a problem with the intake manifold. I suppose you could fabricate one that was smaller. But we willnot do a swap kit.
