Just wondering how many of you go to the runs in Mira Mesa? I try to keep an eye out for the 2k1 Vics and when I see a descent one, I wonder if theyre registered here or not. So if ya do go, keep an eye out for me, you'll know me when you see me.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

when and where exactly do the runs go? I used to be at camp pendleton and i would've gone if i'd a known. But now i'm off to japan for a year. oh well, maybe next year. but still when do they go? i might still have time to go one.

I have only heard about the fables races. I want to watch them though. My stock car isn't gonna make it with the cars they race, even though I have killed Celicas and Integras so far. I dont have a scanner, but i have heard that they run between mira mesa, the wild animal park, and down to clairmont (the article I read said that they chase them around the golden triangle; those that live here will know what i mean). If you have any info of where/when they go, please let me know.

i go every week, and its fun to watch, but man, we gotta get some civics racing or some imports at least. i dont see very many imports racing, jsut a couple of crx's and type R's who are incidentally my neighbors. well, hope to see you all representin. lata. -inspectadeck

Well, the Celica looked pretty stock, and I'm pretty sure it was a manual b/c I could see it drop back a bit when he shifted. That one wasn't that close of a race. I could tell he was racing b/c the engine sounded very high, and if he wasnt, he wouldn't have been keeping up with me. It was up on Mira Mesa Blvd, and it was a GT, not a GT-S.

The Integra was all decked out, had at least an Intake and Exhaust, that was over near school, but to be honest, it wasnt that fair of a race. It was on this real curvey part, and we were kinda going fast on this one stretch of road, but then it narrowed to one lane, and a stop sign. He pulled in front of me before the stop sign, then put his emergency flashers on (to say he just beat my a$$). So he went through the stop sign, then I stopped at it, then punched it. It opens to two lanes, curves a bit, then hits this 20 mph curve. Well, I live around here, so I know the road pretty well. Anyways, I do my thing, and I catch up to him about 100 feet after the stop sign, and then he starts going....pulls away from me then slams on his brakes before the first small curve. I blow past him, then I see him starting to catch up when I see smoke start coming out from his back end. He pulls over to the shoulder, then flips a U-Turn and crosses 4 lanes of traffic (its a quadruple yellow line in the road). Then he takes off. Thats the end of that (those) stories.
