so has anyone heard of the kit they made to do an rsx motor swap into our cars, my brother informed me of this information a little while ago and hes gettin me interested in doin it, basically adding 90 horses for as little as three grand, if i can find that cheap of the motor, instead of about twelve hundred or more for about fifteen horses. but seriously my brother knows this stuff easy, him and his friends, AZ NEONS established here in arizona from chandler and phoenix. designed a kit for a motor swap that wasnt even out yet, and is still being copyrighted for a pt cruiser 2.4 dohc into a 98 neon 2.0dohc, very impressive thats how good these guys are, so im thinking of takin up the offer when i find the rsx motor for cheap probably from wreckage. soooooo
my question is, anyone heard about this, heehh i believe im gonna start a trend, anyone heard about anyone tryin to do this. well curiousity i have, hopefully ill get some questions answered. later

So the whole swap could be done for approx $3K? Hmm, lookin at 200hp easy with that swap. I dont think Ive heard of anyone else doing that. Your brother designed the kit for the 2001 civic and he owns a Neon? Why would he make one for a honda? Just curious...

ok erics response came out a little confusing. Basically I was discussing with him a RSX type s or type R motor swap for his 2k1. Reason is honda makes reliable motors and what better than a motor with high HP in a civic. It would be better than trying to build the 1.7 with custom parts etc. Basically start off with a better platform engine and go from there. My friends and I have experience swapping a 2.4 PT cruiser motor in a neon. TQ is awesome!
HASports in phoenix is said to be coming out with the swap kit for the civic so swapping the k20 motor will be that much easier. The swap cost will depend on how much we can get the parts for.

umm dial 411 for the number I'll be back in phoenix this thursday ( go to college to colorado ) looks like its going to take a bit to get these parts as the RSX is quite new and not many smashed
Its eihter that or pay and arm and a leg to be the first when the HASport kit comes out but 6 grand doesn't sound to appealing. I'll keep you guys update when I can find the parts at a reasonable price

thanks bro for the info, sorry chris for the messed up info, what i ment was is that my brother and his friends designed a kit for the neon, not the honda, and hasports is the one designing the kit for the civic with the k20 motor, and we just need to find the motor now for cheap, not too easy since its highly demanded, but hey maybe ill get lucky, ill keep ya updated on the parts i get, see ya

they had a totalled rsx-s on ebay a few months ago. when I checked, it was going for about 3 grand for the whole car. It only had 50 miles on it. the guy wrecked it on his way home from the dealership. anyways, the engine was claimed to be in perfect condition.
