Reno, NV stolen moped
hey guys, anyone in the reno area please be on the lookout for a lime green 1970s honda express vintage moped. it was stolen from house near west 7th and mccarren between 6-7pm today april 22 from inside the garage. here is a pic of what the bike looks like, this is not the actual bike but a very close match. it is lime green, not yellow.
some defining features
-UNR parking permit on the plate
-lime green with large EXPRESS writings on the middle bar
-headlight housing is held on with scotch tape
-bike is in good condition, just detailed with newly painted white air filter housings and polished exhaust parts
-has two fold away metal baskets attached to the rear, just behind seat.
-tires are both heavily worn and yellowed with cracks, needed replacement this year.
thanks anyone local please keep a lookout if you see it parked or being used. it normally runs but its been sitting all winter and usually needs some love (tuneup) before it will start for the summer. so it may be dumped somewhere if theyre too stupid to figure out how to turn it on. also, they do not have the key. so ignition will be hotwired. im posting this on as many forums as i can and also watching craigslist and ebay and will be walking the local neighborhoods daily.
