Anyone have an AT&T cellphone(8260 or 3360) they're not using?
Alright so i friggin take my 8260 out of my pocket yesterday and i pulled my keys out first so then i guess the keys pulled the cell phone out with it. So it hits the floor, fone blanks out and i cant turn it on. So i take it to my cellular place and they say the parts thats needed to turn on the fone broke off and i cant turn it on. So now i'm without a fone and i cant afford paying 150$-200$ for a new replacement one and heck i cant even afford 100$ fone. I still need to repair my car from the accident which is about 500$ and i have no job(been applying EVERYWHERE but fuggin no one wants to hire me cause i dont have experience). I'm bummed out right now. Can anyone help me out with this cellfone problem please?
TopFuel, my friend did this and worked like a charm. First, call your service provider and tell them that your service has been breaking up everywhere. Tell them that your calls get dropped all the time and you aren't getting all your messages. Do this every day for the next week, so that it is in your files that you have been complaining about the quality of service. Next, call nokia or whomever makes your phone that was broken. Tell them that you received it for free when you signed up with your carrier and now it keeps messing up. Tell them it turns off by itself, has bad reception (even when you have all the bars for service showing), is too quiet and you can barely hear when the volume is turned up all the way, etc, anything you can think of that is within reason and believable. If you harass them enough, they will just send you a brand new phone. My friend did this to voicestream. He had a nokia 5190, he complained about losing calls and messages, then they gave him a brand new nokia 8290 and $300 of credit towards his account. Trust me, if you handle yourself in a professional manner during the conversations while still conveying the feeling of frustration, you can come away from this with a new phone and credit towards your account too... Try it, you don't have anything to lose....
