next month here in Wonderfull Las Vegas, the Local SCCA is doing an Autocross School. 2 days of Learning how to race with your steering wheel rather then your gas pedal. This is the second time we've done this, and its a great place to start if you want to get in to autocross.
September 12th-13th.
$50 for the Friday and Saturday sessions, Friday is a Ground school and Saturday is Driving.
What do I need to bring?
Once registered, you only need to bring yourself and your car. You should also have your driver's license. Helmets will be provided by the club, but if you have a Snell 2000 or better helmet - bring it. Lunch will be provided on Saturday, but it is strongly recommended that you bring water and snacks.
Do I need to have a 'race car'?
Any car is allowed - IF it passes a simple Technical Inspection. Trained technicians will be examining your car for safety reasons on Friday night. Among the things they'll look for is:
Working seat belts - Driver and Passenger
Passenger Seat (for instructor)
Battery must be secure
Brakes must work
Wheel bearing cannot be loose.
Car must be empty of ALL loose objects.
Im going, you can allways learn more.
