Rep Power: 0 Headliner for 1989 hatch done in grey suede.
So when I bought this car it had a ha ha, tiger skin headliner in it.
Didn't take long for that to get old. Took it out and recovered in grey faux suede to match the rest of the interior. 2 yards of fabric was more than enough. But if you want to do the inserts in the door panels get 3 yards.
I like 3m 77 spray adhesive it will have a longer tack time.
A 28 year old headliner that has been cover once before was a little challenging. As there was damage to the cardboard that it was made out of. After cleaning with hot water and dawn with a microfiber wrung out I use a rubber spray to get back the ridged ness where the cardboard was cracked. Worked well to flex and hold everything together.
Sprayed all the trims with fresh matching color. Re installed today and its alot brighter inside than before.
Looks like oem instead of .... what it did.
