Rep Power: 0 rear bushings on lca 94 hatch daily driver
Greetings,
I drive a 94 CX hatchback as a daily driver. I like my car to ride well, but I'm certainly no performance type. My last alignment, the shop told me that my lower control arms were bad, and alignment was "iffy." I ignored it, but now my CV boots are shot and it's time to do some front end work.
I've pulled my LCA,s. I considered replacing the bushings with polyurethane, but I don't want squeeks. The new bushings are almost as much as new LCA's, especially since I don't have a press. I'm looking at Beck/Arnley's from Rock Auto at $55 each. I'm also doing the lower ball joint while I'm in there -- it looks OK but I don't want to go in there again.
The question is the back bushing -- the big hummer with 3 bolts. The ones I have "look" ok, but I don't know how to tell. They are easy to replace, but at $37 each, it's a lot of cash if they don't need it.
Any thoughts on those big bushings? Keep the old ones, or replace them since I already have them out?
Thanks,
Harry
