Opinions need on suspension/ rims please!!
Opinions need on suspension/ rims please!!
Hi, I'm new
So, I made the mistake of buying a car on ebay.( and having it shipped)
Anyway, it's a 93 civic, 17" rims(heavy).
When I got it, I immediately replace the struts with KYB performance.
It already had(and still has) lowering springs. I'm not sure of the brand or how worn they are. There is no sagging.
I didn't realize that 17's are a terrible ride for a civic.
It rides like crap, very very harsh ride.
Because of this, I'm not driving it at the moment.
My fix would be to replace the springs I have now with stock springs and keep the 17's. What I really want is to get some 15's or 16's to put on and then replace the springs I have now with some good lowering springs. I can't get the 17's sold, so I am stuck with them for now.
Should I go ahead and put on stock springs or am I just screwed either way with the 17's as far as a harsh ride goes?
Or, should I just keep it in the garage until I can afford new 15's and springs?

uumm.. im have a 01 civic.. and i have coilovers.. on 18 rims.. the ride is rough.. but when u get to flats and tracks.. its beautiful so.. its a double edge blade man.. ( yes stock will feel MUCH better as lordhelmet said) the ride height wont be that bad.. cuz u do have 17s on them.. so it will look like its sort of lowered...
