Stuck in limp mode
Stuck in limp mode
I have a ef hatch with a d16y8 swap with a chipped p28 ecu, the other day I was merging on to the high way and when I stepped on the gas my car completely shut off and died. I checked under the hood and noticed my battery fused was blown I replaced it and it ran enough to get me home. The next day I went to turn it on and notice the lights was dim so I pulled the terminal off the battery and the car died needless to say I replaced the alternator after replacing that I turned it on and boom limp mode, I noticed the fuel injectors for cylinder 3-4 are not pulsing while the car is idling, I already replaced a bunch of fuses, fuel pump and tried other ecu’s and nothing is working, ohh and another thing the ecu I was running doesn’t prime the fuel pump and theres no check engine light when I turn the key, I’m assuming the alternator was loose and spiked the voltage and killed my ecu? any help will do!
Re: Stuck in limp mode
Was the swap stable? As in it's been running fine for a few weeks/months?
-with that many issues, dim lights, missing injector pulse, a blown master fuse, other, I'd look through the wiring harness.
it sounds like something is short circuiting, drawing too much current and blowing the fuse.
