D15B7 Warped Head Replacement

I have a 94 Civic LX and it has a warped head. I bought to re-manufactured head and a new gasket kit for it. I just need to know which gaskets require sealant and which don't. Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: D15B7 Warped Head Replacement

Depends on what needs done.

Got a good service manual? You're gonna need it for torque specs and all that, it should tell you if and where sealant may be required.

Sharp corners of the VC gasket are one area.
Nipple for top radiator hose may need RTV if there is no gasket.

Here's an area many installers don't realize needs sealant

Everything from the head gasket and up needs to be done on the motor. I do have the service manual and the torque specs along with the tightening sequence on hand.
