help!

hi, I have a 2013 civic lx base model. Its less than a year old, and I'm having problems with it. It stalls out on me while driving, hesitates when taking off from a dead stop, very sluggish and I'm getting the gas mileage of an SUV. I'm currently in a lease that doesn't end until 2016. I've told my dealer about the stalling issue, they didn't help much. What do y'all think?? Should I try and get rid of the car?

Got a check engine light on? Flashing?
Has anyone washed the engine?
Do you drive with both feet? (don't do that)
Should I try and get rid of the car?
If your problem is easy to verify and duplicate, replace the dealer.

Re: help!

nope no lights on at all. I can easily replicate everything except for the stalling. I never know when its going to do it, and quire frankly I'm afraid that the next time will be the time I get hit. I just had the car serviced in may. Does that mean anything? As far as I know, the engine has never been washed.

Ok...Go to your dealer and take the technician for a ride to demonstrate all the problems you can fit into a 5 minute demo drive.

Don't just tell the service writer about it, SHOW the problem directly to the technician (hopefully someone competent).

This way everyone involved is on the same page, no guessing or interpretation.

You might even ask for the rocket scientist to work on it. Every dealer should have at least one tech that can solve any problem and bail out the rookies when they screw up.
