Rep Power: 0 94 Honda Civic EX
I am the original owner of a 94 Honda Civic EX with approx 150,000 miles on it. For 20 years it has done nothing but run and start at the first turn of the ignition. However, recently, after it rains it will not start. It turns over but will not ‘catch’ and start. After a day in the sun, it starts. I have replaced the plug wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, coil, the igniter coil and the fuel pump relay switch. Nothing has helped. Any and all thought are welcome.

Honestly It may be a ground problem....but after almost 25 years things will get shake loose. But it's definitely something I haven't heard anyone really mention before. I would check the lid on your fuse box after you clean away rust and tighten any grounds you may have, and make sure there isn't any water in there....and make sure its on correctly, it may feel like it is sometimes, but MAKE SURE...maybe water is getting in there when it rains....If there is water in there, i would take all the fuses out and use a shop vac and get everything nice and dry. Hope you figure it out...150k....just breaking it in

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

If you really want to track the problem down, you'll have to start by figuring out what's wrong or missing when it won't start: Compression, spark, or fuel.
Once you figure out which of those isn't right, you can concentrate on figuring out why.
