IACV- Idle air control valve. It is located to driver's side of the throttle body. You can unplug it to test if this is your problem, car should stay on and idle high .

are you sure you didn't unplug the tps sensor by mistake. TPS is right on the throttle body. IACV is farther left and under a bit.

do you know how to check trouble codes. Under the glove box there are some connnectors , a 2 wire and a 3 wire. Use a wire to connect the blue 2 wire sockets together while the ignition is in on position and count the number of blinks of the CEL .

If this primarily happens in warm weather when it gets hot inside he car it will be a main fuel relay. Its hidden pretty well under the drivers side dash almost behind the kick panel. Check for power at #7 terminal, black/yellow wire when the car wont start. You should have battert voltage as this is the power output to the pump. If this sort of thinghappens and 15 minutes later it starts, and if it seldom happens in cooler weather skip the test and replace it. I've seen this hundreds of times in 20 yrs.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

For friends only:
I take them apart and resolder everything on the board.
Permanent fix, and almost free. Worth a few McDoubles for 10 or 15 minutes of my time.
For customers at the shop, they get replaced.
Worth at least a couple hundred McDoubles.
But
There was a time several years ago when Honda had them on indefinite backorder and we couldn't get them, all I could do for customers was resolder them. Haven't seen any come back thus far.
