1986 civic si fuel injected stalls only during idle or when rpm's drop like comming to a stop, this started after i replace the pick-up coil after finding no spark at the plugs.

could this be caused by a lemon pick-up coil i got from a junker or something else?

the PMFI light is on only when key is in position 2

Any help whould be great i would hate to scrap this car due to an oversite on something stupid.

I've only had issues like that with EGR valves, but every Civic I've seen doesn't have and EGR system. I'd check for vacuum leaks. I doubt it's the pickup coil... If it works at all it should work at low RPMs.
