Greetings Civic Forum!

I just acquired a 94 Civix LX with about 215,000 miles on it (manual transmission). It starts right up, idles well, maintains good temp, and is rust free. Basically seems ok with the following two issues; it makes a "whiring" noise in all gears, especially under load (and goes away when the clutch is engaged) and the A/C doesnt work.

I'm new to the forum and didnt find a whole lot of info in the DIY area (only two threads ) so I'm hoping some of you can direct me to articles on tranny removal and A/C troubleshooting. Also, any suggestions for things to look at on a car with this many miles is appreciated.

Thanks for any help and I look forward to sharing my experiences as I resurrect this car back to a daily commuter.
