I have a 1993 Civic DX 4 door sedan, auto, with about 141K on it.

Nice little car, fun to drive.

However, it is now exhibiting a starting/stalling issue that is getting worse. Over the last week it has taken a little longer to start than normal; turns over fine, just slow to ignition.

This evening that changed. Drove home from work, no problems. Took my son to baseball practice, no issues except after letting the car sit approx. 20 minutes, it took a little longer to start than normal.

We left the park & went to fill up at a local station. Bought gas, then went to start the car. It started, then stalled & would not start. Turned over but no ignition. It took about 3 minutes of trying, resting, trying before it started.

We drove home with no issues, then parked the car & shut the motor off. I then tried to start the car. Same thing happened. It starts, then immediately stalls. Then nothing. After several minutes it will start & run fine.

I was able to get this problem to repeat about a 1/2 dozen times before I shut the car down for the day.

Any thoughts as to what might be going on? I will add that once the car is running it runs like a top, never hesitating or having any stalling issues at all. It just seems to be starting the car, especially when the engine is warm.

change your spark plugs.
you said its slower starting over though, so maybe the starter is going on it...
