That makes me cry. I will drive civics till I die but even with the shitty power out put I love our generation. I'm on my second em2 now cause I dont really like the 8 gen unless you go SI(which I couldn't afford at the time.) It's good that you and your son are ok and that's all that matters in the long run. When you get a new ride you should post it here even if it's not a civic so we can see what "rose out of the ashes". Best of luck!

Damn......That defenetly WON'T buff out. That really sucks.
On the plus side you and your son are alright. It could have been much worse. If you weren't paying attention and you drove for another few minutes things could have flared up quite fast with all the air coming into the engine bay. I can't believe the fire got as hot as it did. Your pictures definetely were very eye opening and educational for the rest of us.

Yeah I think i would been standing on the car pissing or something(jk) or trying to somewhat swat it and keep it from spreading until help arrived(from the pictures it looked small when you first saw it but I could be mistaken and the whole firewall behind there was on fire). Thats sucks man, its good that you and your son are ok tho and thats all that matters.
Btw I thought your car was trubo'd? Looks all stock to me.
