Hey everyone, I have searched around but it doesn't look like anyone is having the same exact problem as I am. I just installed an hid kit for my headlights and nokya yellows for my fog lights and the passenger side is brighter for both the headlight and fog light. I switched bulbs and ballasts, and it's still burning uneven. Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks for the help.

Halogen, or HID?

Have you checked for variations in the powers or grounds at each of the lights? Voltage drops on either circuit cause significant reduction in brightness on a regular bulb with a filament.

HID is an arc discharge, so they shouldn't be affected a whole lot by small supply voltage variations, so look to the mounting of the bulb, reflector quality (silver coating coming off, water damage), and lenses for being cloudy.

And the aim.

Left and right headlight housings don't always have the same beam patterns either. Could just be where you are looking from.

hid should either come on or not. there is no dim and bright. maybe whats happening is the aim is not correct. post some pic of the beams against a wall when youre parked around 25 ft away. that would tell you for sure if its aiming or brightness issue.

They're aimed correctly. Hid for the headlights and halogen fogs. I don't have a volt meter to check the voltage but I'm sure I can borrow someone's. I installed new headlight assemblies so it's not the reflective housing.

Update: I sanded and cleaned all grounds and the problem persisted, so I borrowed my buddy's volt meter to check the power to the lights. Passenger side was good, but the power to the driver's side headlamp was only 10 volts. My buddy said it could be the fog bulb since i have it all running off of one harness, so i pulled the bulbs and the driver's side fog was all burnt looking, but not burned out. After changing the bulb, BAM!! Problem resolved.
