Questions on how to do are better suited in the Mechanical issues section
I did it on a 1999 Civic
Parts List:
1. Evaporator
2.A/C Lines
3. A/C Compressor
4.Condenser
5. Condenser Fan
6. Harness
7. (2) Relays
8. (1) 20 AMP Fuse
9. (1) Diode
10. Evaporator Box
11. A/C Button Switch
12. Brand New Dryer and bracket
13. Compressor bracket
14. Expansion valve
15. Pressure switch (goes attached to the Dryer)
Installing the system is pretty simple.
1.Remove this box
Then install the other box with the evaporator inside.
2. This is how i do the expansion valve
Before installing the box with the evaporator dont forget to clean the blower
Install the a/c lines. Installing the bracket and compressor is easy. Only 8 bolts. Install the belt. The dryer goes next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir with a bracket. Then you can install the condenser and the condenser fan.
You connect the harness right next to the condenser fan. Should be a plug there for the harness.
-Dryer
This is the fuse box without the relays and the diode
And here with the relays and the Diode installed. The diode is a tiny black thing and goes only in one way. looks like a fuse
After you install everything. You need to use this gauges and a vacuum pump. The system needs at least 45 mins with the vacuum. After that close al the valves and keep it about an hour and see if the readings still the same (if not then you have a leak). After that you can add the refrigerant and your gauges should be reading around 35 and 160 the high side. There is tables that you can use and follow those instructions. But if you dont want to recharge by yourself, take the car to a shop an they can do that for no more than $100 .
