96 civic help

Ok, so I bought a 1996 civic hatchback for $1000, but there's 200,000 on the current motor. I want to get the d15bnonvtec for it, but I'm being told now that if I swap it I could snap my ball joints. Any other ideas what else I could encounter during the swap? I'll be swapping the full exhaust and adding a cat underneath rather then the 1 piece manifold.

Before you start knocking the non-vtec, it's only temporary.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: 96 civic help

ya not sure y you would snap your ball joints? that isnt clear why you would think that. I wouldnt go back to obd 1 , just save up and go for the y8 or better, you will open up more problems going backward.
just a thought.
good luck.
