Rebuild or replace?
Rebuild or replace?
Hi,
I have 96 civic dx with an s40 tranny. For a while now ive had some faint "whirring", seemingly bearing wear noises when i have the clutch pedal disengaged. I also have started to get a high pitch whine in lower gears and a wobbling whine in reverse. The synchros seem good i can get into all the gears well but the performance is getting gradually worse(small thuds between gearshifts and lurching when not accelerating). Ive read that these symptoms point towards a bad ISB and maybe diff bearing. Rebuild? Replace? Other insight?
Thanks
