Lower Ball Joint Replacement Question...

Hi all. I recently took my car to get the head gasket replaced and while my regular mechanic was under the car he realized that my lower ball joint that had been recently replaced by Meineke didn't have a cotter pin in it and didn't appear to be sitting right?? Now I know cotter pins are real important and all so I immediately took it back to Meineke where they basically told me that they knew it was wrong when it left the shop and that it would have to be replaced again. So they replaced it again for free of course but now it doesn't look the same as the other side still. I don't know much about lower ball joints or suspension it's one of my weak points on cars but it just doesn't look right still. I took a picture and wanted to know your opinion on it. Thanks!

Re: Lower Ball Joint Replacement Question...

what i would do is take it to another meineke and tell them your story and see if they know anymore, if not im in the same boat as u r. i have no clue. if you can check a mechanics manual or download a pdf for one. and just look at the part and see if everything matches up
