Lowering spring install
I got some new skunk 2 lowering springs. I took out the front stock spring/strut assembly first and commpressed the spring with the compressor until it wasnt touching the top mount. then i tried to loosen the center nut that holds the top mount on. but it wont come off?! The threaded stud that the nut twists off of just turns right with the nut? it dosnt help holding anything else on the outside to keep from turning the stud just turns with it. Any suggestions?

Re: Lowering spring install
on the strut there shoud be a place to use an allen key to hold the center shaft or a nocth to hold it with a wrench......if not
Grab the strut shaft with some vise grips. Make sure you do it at the very top of the strut shaft. THat part never goes in far enough to mess with the internal seals.
Good luck.
