Driver side Door lock

I am having the standard problem with the driver side door lock. The driver side power door lock only works with a key. When the door is closed the manual push **** will not move up or down. The power door lock switch doesn't unlock or lock any of the doors. However the key fob will lock and unlock all doors except the driver side door. I tried replaceing the actuator but nothing changed. I did notice when I connected the new actuator that moving the actuator arm itself would unlock or lock all the rest of the doors, but when I pressed the button on fob the new actuator wouldn't do anything. Could this be a problem with the wiring? Or the locking mechanism itself?

You mean while the drivers door is OPEN? That would be normal and it's explained in the owners manual if you still have it
Edit: (7th gen and earlier).

Wait, what year car are you dealing with?
