ok so i need to run 3 new wires from my ECU to my IAC on my 98 si civic, i have done everything to get rid of the engine code i keep getting for my IAC and get control of the bloody idle on my car, so i am going to run 3 brand new wires, because there must be a broken one in the harness. id rather run 3 new ones the chase in the damn harness.

SO the IAC wire colors are as follows many of you already know im sure

black with blue stripe (this wire is power ?)

solid orange (this wire is negative ?)

yellow with black stripe and 2 silver dots (power source ?)

Now they are on A plug for the ECU ? right ?


i found the orange & the black with blue stripe

WHICH one do i need to re-wire for the yellow with black stripe with 2 silver dots ? there are two of them side by side on the pin outs A plug on the ECU ?

all i want to do is run 3 new wires to the IAC, but i dont know which yellow one to cut and re-wire and i do not want to cut the wrong one.

Anyone can help with this ? Thanks !

yes its the 3 wire IAC motor is d16y8 automatic

3 wire IAC, my info shows

Orange goes to PCM pin A13
Black/blue goes to pin A14


Yellow/black is a relayed 12v+, spliced in with the same color wires on the fuel injectors
