Re: Need help building a sound system
alright here i go.
alpine hu maybe the 137bt
alpine 6.5 type s components up front
alpine 6x9s in the back
alpine mini amp
alpine type s sub the new one not the old one
alpine mrp-m500 this is the right amount of power for that sub.
this all can be had online for pretty cheap and this would be a good sounding system.
you will need a box and I would recommend deadning the front doors and rear deck lid while your installing the speakers. use ramaat, stinger, or dynamat for this.

Re: Need help building a sound system
For sub's and amp's I would recommend Rockford Fosgate. I currently have one RF P3D4-12 with RF R500-1D amp and it hits pretty damn hard. You can probably get the whole set under 250$ (craigslist/ebay).

Re: Need help building a sound system
JL W3v2/W3v3 ~$100-150 Used.
Rockford/Kicker/Alpine Amp. (Or JL JX Series Amp)
Polk/Infinity/Rockford/Pioneer Components.
Kenwood/Alpine/Pioneer Headunit.
Shouldn't run you more than $600~700 if you do everything yourself. (This is considering you get everything brand new, other than the sub)
Very simple, but good setup.
