CKF Wire eaten by belt HELP!

Okay, so I just bought a 1997 Civic DX with 90k miles on it and it has an idle problem and its running the code p1337 which is the crankshaft fluctuation censor not giving a reading. However we found a wiring harness that was 3/4 of the way eaten by the serpentine belt and we believe in the process of being chewed through it short circuted and shorted the scensor causing this problem
here is a picture of it from the under side,

what you see is the belt from the crank shaft (Left side) to the alternator (right side) and to the back left the timing belt cover

Anything would be helpful, confirmation thats what is wrong, how to replace it, ANYTHING!

Re: CKF Wire eaten by belt HELP!

Yup, that'll cause the code, sho nuff.

Usually this happens right after the timing belt got replaced.
Some slacker didn't tuck them back into the holder on the side of the timing cover.

The connector should be just under the edge of the intake manifold. Pull the harness out to where you can reach it and repair/splice the wires. Make sure to seal them real good, they have to be watertight.

Or just buy a crank sensor, #14 or 15 here (Look up your own car, I just guessed.) http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...-+OIL+STRAINER

Thanks, yeah we spliced the wires back together and later I opened up the timing belt and guess what, it's brand new.
