Wheel bearing question

Ok needed my right front wheel bearing replaced... just picked up the car after hours there are two lines on the invoice for parts for that specific job 1) bearings/wheel bearing right front part #051-4030 and Wheel bearing right front part # 510030. Does this sound right, or am I being double billed?

Re: Wheel bearing question

There is only ONE wheel bearing unit per wheel.

How many were you billed for? Return to your installer with billing questions.

BTW neither of those part numbers were Honda part numbers. They installed an aftermarket bearing.

Re: Wheel bearing question

Thank you. I knew they weren't honda parts.... do you have any idea what the difference is between the 2 parts? I'm going back in on Friday with the invoice and just want to shoot down any B.S. right away so the more info I have the better off I am and the quicker u can resolve it.

Nope. Ask your installer.

Based on the fact the number patterns are completely different.....I'd guess the parts were two completely different brands of whatever they installed.

Google the part numbers?

They cannot stuff two bearings in the same hole at once.
If they ruined one bearing for some reason and had to buy another, you still should only be billed for ONE bearing.

Re: Wheel bearing question

Thanks again ezone they "accidently" charged me for a bearing they ordered which didn't fit so they reordered the proper one but never took the incorrect bearing off the bill. I got refunded
