Honda OEM Wheel Choices

Hi All,

I've just spent my first full week with my 98 Civic - I wish I had bought one new! My only grump about this car is the previous owner put on some 17" Mini Cooper Wheels. I HATE them! Ride is far too harsh for my tastes and I'd like to replace them with some OEM Mag wheels from another Honda. I understand that I need a 4x100 pattern, but could you help me out with a year and car guide (Del Sol, Accord, another Civic) that I can use as I walk salvage yards?

I sure would appreciate it - Thanks from New Mexico.

George

prolly go with the 14 inch HX rims from your year of car (97-99 i think). they are pretty nice. there are so many choices tho.

these are super light maybe 11 lbs.

and these alloys around 16 lbs (99-00 civic SI)

those are most popular, but there are tons of other styles made by honda in 14s and 15s with 4x100.

I was in New Mexico last summer and in 04' hiking at Philmont Scout Ranch.. man I'd go back in a heart beat. Anyway, I agree on the Si rims if you're looking for OEM. The only other OEM Honda rim that isn't a steely that's 4x100 (that I can recall) are the "Fat-Fives" on the Del-Sol. Not my favorite looking rim, though.

^^ Wow that looks awesome! Are those 45 tall or 40 tall tires? Is that car lowered?

I also forget to mention the 7th gen SE (special edition) rims are 4x100 and will fit as well. They look pretty sweet, too.

those are 185/55 R16 tires. the car is lowered on Eibach prokits so it's just a mild drop.

Re: Honda OEM Wheel Choices

I've been looking for a set of Fit sport wheels for a year, it's so hard to find a set for a good price, they're my favourite 4 lug oem Honda wheel.
