Steering Wheel Vibration Under Braking
Steering Wheel Vibration Under Braking
My 2007 Civic Coupe brakes smooth and steady when brakes are applied lightly but has a pretty good vibration through the steering wheel as I exit the freeway and shut her down for a stop sign or stop light.
My first notion was that I heated the brakes under excessive braking some time and warped the rotors. But, after checking them on both sides using a dial gauge, I only see about .003" - .005" variation.
Is this enough to heat up under heavy braking and have them throwing a fit through the steering column? Anyone know the spec/tolerance? This seems pretty close to me. Brake pads look fine by the way.
Thanks!
