Car Wash Trouble Codes
I thought I was smart by taking my 98 Civic DX through a car wash to get the salt and grime off of it after the snow melted....I was wrong, not smart.
I let it run while in the car wash as it sprayed the car from underneath (and everywhere else). Drove it out afterwards and shut it off to vacuum the interior. When I drove away the check engine light came on but there was nothing wrong that I could tell. I pulled over, did a quick look under the hood, checked fluids etc. and finding nothing drove the few KMs to work. After work I pulled the codes: P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor, P0135 - 2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 and P0141 O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2.
When I was driving it home the speedo went crazy jumping all over the place, which also affected the odometer (and put a bunch of extra KMs on the car).
The lights are flickering a little now as well so obviously this is something electrical. I pulled the cord on the speed sensor so my KM's don't go too out of wack. I checked all of the connectors for water but they are all clean and dry.
Any ideas as to what's going on? Is there an ECU under the hood that could have gotten wet? I haven't checked the Alternator to see if it's charging properly but I don't see how that could have affected the O2 and Speed sensors.
Any suggestions?

Re: Car Wash Trouble Codes
could have cracked insulation on the wires and when they got wet they might have shorted, look for sketchy bits of wiring, the ecu is in the passenger foot well the o2 sensor connectors should be up near the exhaust manifold. speed sensor is on the top of the trans i believe

Re: Car Wash Trouble Codes
I bet you have a bad spot in a wire in the intake manifold bracket area that is trying to short out and blow fuse 15.....and causing all the codes because several items share the same power source (fuse circuit)......The alternator also uses the same fuse which could explain the lights flickering
