Re: tech help please im stuck....

No silver bullets here. Far too many things going on here. Lots of issues are possible, and there are many common problems, but.....

1) Firing order, since you dinked with the plug wires..

2) Wiring diagram, voltmeter, and an understanding of how the stuff is supposed to work.
Test, don't guess.

What controls the fuel pump?
What controls the main relay?

What was the original problem with the car, before you started throwing parts at it?

Re: tech help please im stuck....

Original problem was crank no start the guy I bought it from said his mechanic said it needed a new ecu and distributor.

But ive read its generally the main relay. So I wanted to try that first.now the fuel pump turns on but im not getting fuel in the chamber. Ive checked for spark so I know my dizy is good but my injectors are not opening

Re: tech help please im stuck....

Ok....

Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key on? (key on, not running)
Does it stay on or go out in 10 seconds?
Does it have any codes?

The pump should not run constantly. EDIT: Until the engine is running. Pump should run for 2 seconds when the ignition is switched to ON, then wait until the starter is engaged to run constantly.
If you plug in the original main relay again, does the pump run correctly?

You have no pulse from the injectors: What's missing?
Is there battery power at the injectors?
Is there a ground pulse at the injectors during cranking? (will a noid light flash?)

How long has the car been sitting? Days? Years?

Got a wiring diagram?
Got a voltmeter? (and know how to use it?)

Re: tech help please im stuck....

So, pump runs now, you have the PCM getting powered up (CEL is at least working)
Are there any codes in the PCM?

In post #3 you said you checked spark already?
Ive checked for spark so I know my dizy is good
But now it doesn't have spark?
Now you have to figure out the no spark deal.

Test:
Pull the distributor cap off, inspect for spark directly out of the coil itself. (use a grounded screwdriver or something to create a spark gap) Have an assistant crank it for you.
Can it create any spark at all? How much?

If it can make a spark that can jump a 3/4" gap, it's good.
If it can only muster 1/16" spark, it's bad.

If no spark at all, more testing needs done.
Do you have a dwellmeter available?

Ok. What is making the plugs wet?
Gasoline, antifreeze, or oil?

Re: tech help please im stuck....

You KNOW it's getting fuel into the cylinders..
You say it's got spark..
Will the spark jump a 1/2 inch gap?

Check for codes?

Cam timing/timing belt correct?
Compression test?

Flooded with fuel, re-oil the cylinders?

This is getting pretty long and I can't remember stuff already LOL
