Hard cold start, floods out, HELP!!
Hard cold start, floods out, HELP!!
I have a 2000 civic ex thats my daily driver, and now that its gotten cold outside, it is a real pain to start after its been sitting a while. All the ignition items are new, plugs, wires, coil etc, new ect sensor, and it's still no better. It takes me about 30 seconds to get the car started, once it starts, it runs just fine. I can smell that its getting flooded though, which is why I replaced the ect sensor. Its obviously dumping too much fuel on cold starts. I build and race Mustangs, and I'm very familiar with them mechanically, but this Honda is slightly out of my realm of expertise. I love the 34mpg!
Hopefully one of you can point me in the right direction. It runs great otherwise, and is excellent on gas.
Thanks in Advance for the help!
