ignition switch wires questions

ignition switch wires questions
99 civic ex auto Was turning off intermittently. I installed new ignition switch today. After driving for a day, I got check engine light. The scan was catalytic system. Not related? What are the five spade connections on switch? Could one bad connection with any of the wires be the cause? Or is it just coincedence.
