I have searched just about everywhere, and haven't really seen anyone talk about this specific sound/issue.

Let me start by saying my care is a 1999 Honda Civic LX. Car is completely stock.

About a year and half ago I noticed that when I first started driving, if I made a left turn I would hear a thumping sound that sounds like its coming from the passenger rear. After about 3 turns it would go away. Well then it started happening on the left turn as well as when slowing down. After about 5 minutes of driving I no longer hear the noise. Almost a year ago I took the car to a repair shop that only works on Hondas and Acuras. They said they heard the noise when they took it for a test drive,but could not find anything wrong. I was told it wasnt a safety issue and the mechanic explained it may have been the brand of tires, and recommended getting new tires. Well, a few months ago I finally got new tires. Obviously it was not the tires because the car still has the thumping noise when making them first few turns or stops. I'm not turning or stopping quickly, it's just there under normal driving.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to what this may be?

Well, I could have ruled that as being the problem. But, the mechanic looked at that. Also, the car only makes the noise during the first couple slow downs or left turns. It doesn't do it any other time. Like perfect example, today the first slow down and first left turn it made the noise. Then it was silent again.

Plus the sound is clearly coming from the passenger rear.
